Men Peeling Potatoes for Circus Mural Illustration
This project is a collaborative piece. Artist and historian, Rick Faber, is working on life size murals of the circus that used to come to his hometown when he was a child. Mr. Faber is illustrating the trains, wagons, trucks, tents, and machinery, and he hired me to illustrate the people and animals.
It’s my job to present him with black and white vector illustrations that he will colorize himself and place within the scenes.
The details, especially the colors and illustrations of famous performers, must be historically accurate. His plan is to gift the life-size illustrations to a museum.
This particular work features a group of men circa 1960, peeling potatoes, outside a cook tent.
